I’m running into a, well not an issue, but a hurtle or something like that.  I really want to learn how to use it and take good photos, but I’m hearing and reading the strangest things.  People compare film brands.  I understand comparing them for which one’s better, but I’ve been told that Kodak is good for pictures of people, while Fujifilm is good for landscapes and other things.  Off brand films might be Fujifilm, or some random brand.

I’ve also looked at filters.  There’s far too many.  I understand the ones for different lighting, and some people say to use them in unintended environments for cool effects.  Somewhat easy for me to understand.

The main thing I have issues grasping is how people know what settings to use on the camera.  I’m guessing it comes with experience.  I love film cameras, but when I don’t have the experience, sometimes I wish I could see the results instantly instead of taking a number of shots and waiting for a surprise from the photo lab.  But it’s all fun none-the-less.  The main confusing part is the f-stop or aperture setting.  I understand it changes how much light the lens lets in, but it still bewilders me.

Anyways, I bought some film to play around with, and hopefully I can get a hang of it and take the camera off of automagic mode.  There’s supposed to be a photo center that offers lessons, but they specialize in digital cameras, and I’ve been told they aren’t cheap…  So I’m hoping to go the experience route

I’m working on a new drawing with soon to be poetry.
I was told about this project where artists and poets come together to create something cool.
I decided to try doing something since it’s not until 2010 and yeah…
Anyways, I was thinking about different things to draw and write about.
So I was listening to some music and reading some stories and a lot of the “hiding your emotions” type things came up.
I thought it’d be interesting to give my take on the whole “hiding your emotions” in 2 artistic forms.
The “masks” idea isn’t that original though >.<
Code Geass made it really popular, and there’s a bunch of artists who’ve done some cool things relating to masks and “hiding emotions.”
But it something fun for me to do, and it’s something to get the creative juices flowing.

I might post stuff, someday, that is drawn in my own style, and not me trying to mimick other’s, but yeah…

My mom always says that most people are always looking at what other people have and aren’t happy with the good things they already got.  I guess I do that a lot.  But then again, that’s why I went to a tech school instead of an Art or Culinary Institute.

But anyways!

I’m trying to step out and branch out, but it feels odd.  I’m attempting to podCast, draw more, and cook more, but it’s not always turning out picture perfect…  My New Years resolution was to be more out going and improve in different areas.  Just thought I’d let you know, and you can now check to see how I’m progressing.

I updated the drawingCam, hopefully I remember to do it more often now.

Anyways, other than that Ubuntu 8.04 Comes out in 1 day!
So yeah… If I’m not online tomorrow or if this web site goes down, something broke.

This design for Lost-Whisper (and TyL) has been postponed until this summer.
I need to work on final projects and study for finals.
So yeah…
Also, I plan on making it more personal?
Like there is now a drawing cam (which shows current art projects I’m working on)
And I plan on making it have a bit more personality so people can attempt to understand the TwiRp?
So here’s the cam, but I’m still working on the code so the image will be set in a fixed size and stuff.
