It depends on the host. Some know what they're doing, others are "trying to get rich quick." Just be careful and do some research. But if you do do research, remember that those who are happy aren't as loud as those who are upset. Every host has their ups and downs (and bad moments), but that doesn't mean they're terrible. At least, those are the three I came up with. I'm not too sure of MediaTemple and DreamHost though, but I would have to say that RackSpace is pretty high up on the list. I agree though! I particularly chose TyL Hosting because of cPanel, but come to think of it...I hardly ever use it (!). I like how Go Daddy is famous for domain names alone. What do you think is the equivalent to it when it comes to hosting? (I think I've lost track since settling with TyL Hosting.) :) This reminds me of the guilt from your hosting me for free.
