School is coming up again soon.  I have to leave on August 15th to go and check-in and everything.  So currently I’m waiting for my books to arrive.  The books that have arrived are huge and bulky; it’s really creeping me out.  I’m wondering what I’ve gotten myself into.

I’m sortof stressing out, but I’m also relieved because I’ll get back into a periodic lifestyle of repetitious work.  So far I’m signed up for 19 credits.  The classes I’m concerned about are mainly Calc 3 and Physics.  I think I can handle Physics since I got a 3 on the AP Exam, but after a year plus of no physics, I’m wondering if I remember anything.

We’re going fishing tomorrow, and on Sunday we go shopping for new school clothes.  I can’t wait because I need a new pair of shoes and I’m looking forward to picking out some new shirts and pants/shorts.  Yup, I’m a dork and lousy picker when it comes to these things, but it’s always fun trying something new.

  1. Are you in need of a brand new “Advanced Graphing” calculator?

I have a Texas Instruments TI-89 calculator, “required or permitted on SAT* & AP* exams”, but I can’t use it here in NSW, Australia because it’s not board-approved.

  2. That stinks. I already have a calculator. Why isn’t it “board-approved”? I think our school allows it, but it’s not as favored as the Ti-83 or Ti-84.

  3. Thick textbooks can be scary. But a 3 on a AP exam means that you have sufficiently comprehended the material, so I’m sure you’ll do well. I can’t believe you start school that early though. I would die.

  4. Or it means I was a lucky guesser ;) We get to end early though. I just found out that a few of the thicker textbooks are used in the different levels of classes, so they are not as worrisome.

  5. Well, that’s good. =)

Ending early isn’t necessarily a good thing though. One of my classes ended early everyday but damn it. That teacher went through a whole textbook in like 3 minutes. I was so lost and confused.

  6. Oh… By ending early I meant that since we start on the 18th of August, we get out early in April or May or something… (So all of my friends are in school for a couple of weeks when we’re in summer vacation).

  7. Yeah, my state stinks. :( I think it’s because they consider it too complicated, so make us use the regular Casio scientific calculators instead.

Please ask your friends if they are interested in purchasing a TI-89 calculator. ;)
