So there were some projects I wanted to work on, but those sortof died along with my finances.
But I’ve come up with a new one that will hopefully see completion. I’m trying to code something better than Wacintaki Poteto. I probably won’t release it as it’ll mainly be used on my site and I’m not sure how much of the code will be stolen 
So in thinking about it, I started to ponder what would I want to see. Here’s a slight list I came up with:
- Following
- Alerts, not just any alerts, support for Growl, E-mail, and IMing alerts (IMing might be a bit too hard though)
- Favoriting
- Friends
- Journaling
- Profiles and comment pages
- AJAXian effects
- and some other stuff.
So I’m starting work on it now. Kindof worried about it though. Growl might be a tad bit hard (due to routers and everything). I also haven’t worked with code like this before. So it’ll be an adverture. I want to try drawing and what not, but the current things out there aren’t as cool as I’d like…

Greetings! And wow, sounds like a difficult and long project, but good luck with it! So, which of your site(s) do you plan to use it on? Btw, just curious, are you using Wacintaki Poteto? And what kind of unfamiliar coding does it use?
Well, onto something else…just wanted to let you know that I’ll be going on a hiatus, as I’m revamping my site. I’m diverting a bit from what I’ve stated when I signed up last year.
Spoken by xioshe on July 17th, 2008 at 9:58 pmThe site I plan on using it on is a secret for now (I want to get working code prior to doing anything)… I’m not used to working with Java Applets socializing with PHP, also even though I have knowledge of PHP, there’s some functions it uses that I’m not too familiar with.
Good luck with revamping your site. It’s always fun yet challenging deciding what to do with a site and what type of site is right for a person.
