So they tried to ship my macBook on Friday, but no one was home. So we were thinking of picking it up today, but we didn’t have the time.
So they’re delivering it on Monday and I’ll make sure I’m at home.
I was kind of sad because it would have been cool to get it, but the original ETA was Monday, so it made it to the local FedEx a few days early.
We did go to the mall, and I went to the Apple store in celebration of the people bringing it to our door but not leaving it in order to entertain myself until then.
This one wasn’t as large as some other Apple Stores I’ve seen, but they did have a good selection of software.
So I was debating about what to get.
I really wanted Photoshop, but that was out of my price range ![]()
And we already have it for Windows. So we bought Parallels Desktop for mac.
So I’ll probably run Photoshop on that until I get it for mac.
But I wanted a graphics thing to play with on the mac without running Parallels, so I bought Manga Studio Debut.
It looks pretty interesting, and I think it’ll be fun to use since I’m trying to draw stuff…
It says it’s for Windows or Mac, so I was thinking of installing it on my PC, but I was worried it might be a Single computer license…
I hate it when things say “Single User” and you can only install it on one computer. I like it when it says “Single User” and you can install it on multiple computers for yourself. Because what if I want to switch? I don’t think I should have to pay billions of dollars for the same app over and over again when I want to use it on another computer. It’s going to stink when Windows PunKeD will be released and everyone needs to buy a new computer and everyone needs to rebuy all the apps on their old computer because they won’t let them install it on their new computer.
I think people are getting overly greedy with it. I understand operating systems, but if I have MS Office and buy a new computer and need MS Office, I don’t want to have to buy Office again, but then again I like AbiWord instead of MS Word, but I still haven’t found a good replacement for PowerPoint.
So once I get my mac and learn how to use the stuff and draw really well, you might see some stupid little strips here and there…

I doubt whatever Microsoft takes to combat piracy would really work. There’s always loopholes in everything. And the more Microsoft pushes for anti-piracy, the more people would go to piracy because it just takes too much money to afford to keep rebuying, so I doubt any company would push the idea too much.
Spoken by Yingna on July 7th, 2007 at 10:57 pmI thought I should be catching up to what other people are doing. I’m still on my old computer and still loving my old software. Most companies are accusing alot of people with fraud software, it’s unbelieable like copyright issues. We’re still happy with our wonderful bootlegs. I gots a legit Photoshop 7.0 still.
I agree with Yingna too, it’s a major problem. Buy photoshop on ebay or amazon, you get student discounts if you buy directly. Even most schools use bootlegs.
Just a secret lol. I’m glad you’re still at it. I was wondering if you have MSN twirp. We should talk again.
