So this Friday (I’m counting down, and I can’t wait) I’m finally placing an order for a black macBook. I’m getting the macBook instead of the macBookPro because of… List:

1. It’s smaller and more protable.
2. Me and my brother can have opposite colors.
3. It looks cool.
4. It’s still faster than my current computer.

Also, I’m planning on getting a 17″ LCD monitor for when I work at home/in the dorms. So small screen won’t bother me. Another plus is they have a sale on iPods with the purchase of the macBook, so I might get an iPod as well (finally after years of dreaming and all my friends rubbing it in my face that they got one for their birthday or Christmas). Photoshop Web Developer CS 3 is also on sale if I can prove I’m a student. So I might get that as well. Oh, I can’t wait till Friday. Hopefully it’ll be faster on the macBook, and with the large screen, I’ll be able to work better than on my 15″ CRT 11 Year old monitor (that turns yellow unless its cord is wrapped around the tower). But until then, I’m happy. I’m not sure if I’m going to get Office 2004 for Macs. I’m thinking of using OpenOffice, AbiWord or something similar, but I already have Office 2000 CDs and I can run a virtual machine of XP if I really need it (probably for PowerPoint or something). It might run slower, but it’ll be faster than my current computer… (Please don’t die Oreo).

SurpassHosting is having a BOGO starting July 1st until the 7th. So if you are looking for great hosting and you’re patient and need the space, wait until July 1st to buy. I use SurpassHosting and think they’re great. The first few days might be a bit ruff because with sales come abusers who will get weeded out. So yeah… I would take part, but after buying a laptop and other college things, I’ll be out of money. And I took part of the last BOGO sale and don’t really need anymore space. And just think, if you get a reseller, you get a free WHMCS license. But they’re great for blogs, personal sites, graphic sites, and etc, and really well priced.
