I’ve bought a lot of new Manga.
Or mabey it’s old but new to me.
Anywho,
My review of Death Note:
Death Note is a really cool. It’s about what a genius would do if he found a notebook that allowed him to kill people by simply writing their name down. I think it’s pretty cool because it really does cover what most would do and looks into the psychological aspects of different types of people. People would strive either for bettering a society, gain, or something else. It’s rather neat.
My review of Saiyuki:
Okay… I haven’t been able to buy that many volumes yet. I only have 2 volumes, and so far it’s pretty good. They made it rather graphic though. It’s the story about some gods and demons trying to fix a problem and return peace to the world. It’s a bit too fantasy for me… But I do like the characters and the personalities. You have a “monk” who’s more worldly than most. Then you have the Monkey King (I hate the relation to DBZ though…) who’s a 18 year old who has issues… Then there is a water sprite with an attitude. And then you have a human who turned demon and is overly polite. I like the characters more than the plot so far. But it’s somewhat interesting and will be okay for now.
So yeah…
I’ve been book shopping and have all of the Death Notes that are out, and I only have 2 of the Saiyuki ones… 7 more to go, then we get reloaded. My bookshelf is full and needs some tweaking… Or I should optimize my shelf/ves… I have another, but it holds my clock and light and some other things…
RSS Atom.
I have 5 volumes of Saiyuki. They’re random volumes though since I got them on sale and the volumes the store had weren’t in chronological order. Anyways, good luck in collecting manga… It’s going to be expensive
Spoken by Miko Reznor on April 9th, 2007 at 10:54 amAre the volumes that you have any good? I really want to get 3 because 2 leaves off at a really interesting part…
Spoken by TwiRp on April 9th, 2007 at 11:01 amI have volumes 1, 2, 4, 7 and 8. I do believe volume 3 finishes off the Rikudo arc and it ends with a prelude to the Hakkai arc. If you’re hesitating on buying the series, my advice is to read the scanlations first and see if you like them.
Spoken by Miko Reznor on April 10th, 2007 at 8:12 pmI went ahead and continued to buy some. I’m getting 5 and 6 tomorrow. The first volume wasn’t that good of a start, but volumes 2-4 made up for it
