My new VistaI got a new computer!
It’s a Dell… And it has Vista on it. So hopefully it’s somewhat usefull.
I’ll mainly be using my old computer because it has all my music and the programs I need, but the new Vista has a Widescreen Monitor, and some other cool features.
One of my main pet peeves already is that it asks me to do everything twice. Like “Are you sure you want to execute file.exe?” I click yes, then it goes “file.exe is running, do you want to let it continue running, or stop it now?” And I click allow to continue, and then it might ask some other questions. It gets rather annoying.
I wonder if FireFox will work on this Computer. My parents probably won’t want it installed on it, although I think that it will look cooler than internet exploder.
Another problem is the screen has to be set on a big resolution to look good. It looks like crap when at a small resolution, but at a big resolution, sites start to break.
Anywho, I’m going to keep playing with my new toy.
So I just installed FireFox and it looks a lot cooler than Internet Exploder does on Vista. I guess my favorite feature in Vista so far is when you hove over the toolbar, it shows you a preview of the window.
Also, the icons on the desktop auto-arrange themselves.
Sadly, we have to buy another copy of Microsoft Office for the new computer. This really stinks since it’s so expensive.

I also forgot to mention.
I went to a concert yesterday and it rocked. It was Stellar Kart, Kutless, and Newsboys. It was a pretty good concert, and I spent more money than I planned to. I bought a new cd, a hat, hoodie, some buttons, and some other paraphernalia.
So it was fun, except for a few things that annoyed me, but I guess it’s the normal things that happen when you go to a concert. Like people yelling out randomly during songs and waving their hands wildly. I got hit once or twice.

  1. Oh, Vista really does that, huh? I thought the commercial of Mac vs PC was just an exaggeration…you could try setting your security settings to lower, if the questions really bother you.

    I saw Vista when I went to Staples. Before I saw it, I thought it was going to be so cool. And then, I saw it. It’s cool. Some nice new GUI features. But besides that, hardly anything else. If anyone wants to test Vista’s GUI without actually having it, WMP 11 is practically what the rest of the GUI will be like.

    But the nice thing is, with Vista being out, I really wonder how the new Mac will be like =)

  2. Hello! Vista seems pretty cool, but yeah the thing about the “file.exe” is true.

    Reading “PC User Australia”, it says that you shouldn’t buy an upgrade to Vista but just wait to get it bundled along with a new computer, like you have. :)

    But I absolutely love the theme/look. So sexy. ;___;
