Okay, so Surpass is posting everything that goes wrong with the servers
I think it’s kindof neat, except you wish that you’d be able to do something about it.
Like if they posted the site that was causing the problems and an the contact e-mail.
Then the users on the server could send some harassing e-mails straightening the naughty person out.
Kayla got loads of feedback on her new step of informing. But she doesn’t know if the action is good or bad.
I think it’s good. It will show you that there are problems and the host knows what they are and you get to know if they are fixing it or not. The only downside is you know the host does have problems. But all hosts have problems, I think the most famous being DreamHost with the whole month of screwed-upness. Dream host posts all of their problems at their status blog the moment it happens, but it’s just technical stuff, and sometimes they are vague
“We€™re not 100% sure what is causing these network problems, or what is being affected”
So I think Surpass’ thing is better. But Surpass doesn’t seem to update on every network issue, not like that’s a problem because there is very little downtime unless it is a server problem (which is covered in the weekly report). Plus, if there is a problem, it is usually posted in the forum informing people what happened. The only issue I have with this is if it is a big error, you don’t here about it till it’s over. This is somewhat why I like the DreamHostStatus because it’s hosted somewhere else.
I wonder if the reports help to increase hosts’ sales or if they turn people away. Or do people not know of their existence. The world may never know.
But what we do know is today’s emo quote of the day:
“My mom told me to get a hair cut. I told her I know of 2 other things I could cut.”
If you aren’t really getting what it means and need an explanation. You have to wrists, and the term cut can be replaced with slit, but yeah…

Thank you for your comments, Twirp.
But why is Surpass weird!
